The child-sensitive curriculum focuses on the Word of God with its great stories and character-building truths.Ashburn is one of a handful of Sunday Schools in our nation that tests the students. Each quarter the school-aged child is given a test so that he, the teacher, and the parents may have some indication of learning and progress.Trained Teachers! Teachers are continually increasing their knowledge and skills through studying the Bible and such subjects as “The Art of Teaching” and “Child Psychology” in the Ashburn Baptist Bible Institute.This church is nationally known for its strong Bible-teaching program.Grade school youngsters have checked out thousands of books from our church library which enhance their knowledge of spiritual truth, broaden their minds and lift their reading levels.There is always a strong emphasis on the family and parental contact with the teachers. Those who teach in the Sunday School visit in the homes of the youngsters and encourage parental contact at any time. There are periodic open houses.
