The ABC's of Salvation A - ACCEPT His free gift of salvation. “For whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13) B- BELIEVE that He died for your sins. “That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.” (Romans 10:9) C - CONFESS that Jesus is now your Savior. “For with the heart man believes . . . And with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” (Romans 10:10) This is the simple plan of salvation: accepting what Jesus did for you on the cross, believing that He died for YOUR sins, and confessing Him as Lord of YOUR life. What a glorious day when you put sin behind and follow Jesus in simple childlike faith. Highlights for the Month Couples' Banquet February 17, 2012 Please call: Abraham Lincoln "It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the over-ruling power of God; to confess their sins and transgressions in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proved by all history, that those nations only are blessed because God is the Lord." Was George Washington A Christian? Consider these words from his personal prayer book: "Oh, eternal and everlasting God, direct my thoughts, words and work. Wash away my sins in the immaculate blood of the Lamb and purge my heart by the Holy Spirit. Daily, frame me more and more in the likeness of Thy Son, Jesus Christ, that living in Thy fear, and dying in Thy favor, I may in Thy appointed time obtain the resurrection of the justified unto eternal life. Bless, O Lord, the whole race of mankind and let the world be filled with the knowledge of Thy Son, Jesus." Our Missionaries Adolfo Lima Osorio, Mexico Book of the Month! The Bible book for the month of February is Romans. All the sermons, morning and evening, this month will be from this letter that Paul wrote to the church at Rome. Since Paul had not visited this church, he summarizes all the basic Christian doctrines in this letter. The first eight chapters form the doctrinal foundation for historic, biblical Christianity. Be sure to personally read this important book this month. Summer Events Teen Vacation Bible School - June 11th - 15th Article of Interest
