We Will Remember

We Will Remember . . .

The Attack on America,

The assault on our freedom,

The shock, the horror, the terror,

The darkness, the debris, the death of thousands,

The devilish deed of delusioned men.

We Will Remember . . .

The heroes among us,

The Police and Firemen,

The passengers who fought the hijackers,

The rescuers who risked their lives,

The brave who died and the children who cried.

We Will Remember . . .

A President who promised justice for evil-doers,

A nation that renewed its patriotism,

A people who rose up unified . . .

to fly the flag with fervor

to sing the National anthem with passion,

to pray with faith,

to acclaim that “God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble”.

We Will Remember . . .

That liberty is precious,

That freedom is priceless,

That our Nation will not perish.
