Dear Ashburn Family,
Today, the Center for Disease Control, the White House, and Governor Pritzker of Illinois released new guidelines regarding public gatherings. The next two weeks are going to be difficult. There’s no way around it. Everyone is being affected by COVID-19. It’s our new reality, and we must respond prayerfully and thoughtfully.
Our leadership teams have a tremendous deal of work ahead of us this week to prepare for the upcoming challenges that we find before us. Please pray for us, as we navigate through the multitude of decisions that must be made for the safety of our church family. Our major priority is the safety of our congregation, especially those who are most vulnerable among us. Our second major concern is how we maintain community and connectivity, with the restrictions placed on us over the next few weeks. These are some of the challenges we must navigate.
For this week, all programming scheduled this week is canceled. This includes:
Financial Peace University (Tuesday)
Arabic Service (Tuesday)
Awana, Elevate, Midweek Bible Study, ABBI (Wednesday)
Ladies Bible Study (Thursday & Saturday)
Worship Gatherings (Next Sunday)
Small Groups (Next Sunday)
We will communicate with you again on Friday regarding our Sunday worship service. It will be an online experience, but we are working very hard to make it a very interactive experience for your family. The email will include some innovative ways that we can spread the message across social media to reach our friends and neighbors.
We choose to look at this season as an opportunity to magnify Jesus and offer hope to a world filled with anxiety. That means that your generosity is more important than ever, to help fuel our mission. Click the link below to give online. You can also click HERE for additional ways to give.
Remember what I said Sunday, “A fearful world needs a fearless church!” None of this has taken our God by surprise. He has a plan, and He wants us to be a part of it! Stay focused, and stay faithful.
